OUR MISSION

Practical Defense Strategies LLC offers expert, full-spectrum self-defense instruction and training across the entire use-of-force continuum. Our programs equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to deploy lawful force when necessary to protect themselves and their families. 

Protecting Life and Livelihood: We emphasize education and skill development as a comprehensive skill set to ensure students are physically capable to defend their life and the lives of their family using all lawful means that are appropriate and necessary. The risk of deploying an illegal force response could ruin a life as much, if not more, than the attack itself.

Comprehensive, Adult-Focused Instruction:  We design training specifically for adult learners, combining classroom instruction with static, dynamic, and scenario-based interactive modalities. By incorporating layered, escalating challenges, we pressure-test understanding, build genuine confidence, and highlight areas for continued growth and refinement.

Multiple Disciplines: We are experts in all levels of force response, be it firearms, physical tactics, de-escalation, physical control, and tactical egress in any environment, including homes, offices, urban environments, and rural/woodland areas.

We serve the public and private sector: As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) with active registration in SAM.gov, Practical Defense Strategies LLC is a veteran-led provider prepared to deliver high-quality firearms instruction, self-defense training, tactics education, and related services to federal, state, and local government agencies.
